Development News

  • We have fixed some bugs and improved the translations in GeoGebra 4 so if you have the installed or portable version, you may want to upgrade to 4.0.15.0
  • Also 4.0.15.0 has an enhancement to the Translation Tool - you can just drag to clone an object!
  • GeoGebra 4.2 Beta now has a Freehand Tool so that you can draw your own function and then look at function transformations eg f(2x) and we're working hard on improving the CAS View. There are also some new commands to try (eg TriangleCenter, TriangleCubic, Barycenter, SurdText).
  • Now that GeoGebra 4 has been released, we have started in earnest on the programming work needed for the HTML5 version of GeoGebra for tablets GeoGebraWeb. Progress is good and there should be some visible results Q1 next year.
  • The new online translation app is now ready for our translators to use. For our users this will result in more accurate, faster translations (as it does some automatic checking and is much quicker and easier to use than the old system).
  • GeoGebra 5 Beta has some improvements (eg angles) and new commands (eg Cube, Octahedron).
  • For network administrators, we now have an MSI Installer for GeoGebra 4 available for testing
