Dear GeoGebra Translators,

We are making excellent progress with GeoGebra 4.0 and we would now like to kindly ask you for your help with updating your translation of GeoGebra’s user interface (properties files). If you are not able to help us this time, please let us know so that we can try to find alternative translators for your language. Zbynek Konecný (translat...@geogebra.org) is coordinating the translation process this time.

GUI Translation by May 31

Please find the instructions for the translation process of GeoGebra 4 at: http://www.geogebra.org/en/wiki/index.php/Translation_GUI

Please send your translated properties files before May 31 to translat...@geogebra.org. We will include your updates continuously with our GeoGebra 4 Beta releases.

If the details (names, email) aren’t correct on your language’s page at http://www.geogebra.org/cms/en/team, or in Help -> About in GeoGebra itself, please let us know at translat...@geogebra.org.

Questions

If you have questions about the new features, first please check the release notes: http://www.geogebra.org/en/wiki/index.php/Release_Notes_GeoGebra_4.0 If that doesn’t help, then please ask in the translators’ forum: http://www.geogebra.org/forum/viewforum.php?f=55

If our translation tool Attesoro doesn’t work with your language, please let us know and we can send you a version specific to your language.

We are currently writing the GeoGebra 4.0 manual (former “GeoGebra Help” document), and we will let you know when it is finished and ready for translation. You can check on the progress here: http://www.geogebra.org/trac/wiki/Releasing

Thank you!!!

Many thanks for your help with the translation update in advance! We had 3.8 million downloads worldwide last year, so your work has a big impact on global math education. I would also like thank Michael Borcherds for leading the development of GeoGebra 4 with its many great new features, Zbynek Konecný for his help with the new manual and translations, and everyone who is helping with coding and supporting our community.

Hope to see you all at our GeoGebra conference in Linz this summer when we will officially release GeoGebra 4 together: http://www.geogebra.org/en/wiki/index.php/GeoGebra_Conference_2011

Best wishes, Markus and the GeoGebra Team
