Determinant[Matrix]
Gives the determinant of the given matrix.
Example:
Determinant[{{1, 2}, {3, 4}}] gives the number a = -2.

CAS Syntax

Determinant[Matrix]
Gives the determinant of the given matrix. If matrix contains undefined variables, it yields a formula for determinant.
Example:
Determinant[{{1, a}, {b, 4}}] gives -a b + 4.
