GI NL is a small scale initiative based at Utrecht University's Freudenthal Institute for Science and Mathematics Education.

In 2010, Aad Goddijn was involved in the Mathematics B day Competition, in which Geogebra plays an important role.

Barbara van Amerom was involved as coordinator of professional development activities.

Peter Boon and Sietske Tacoma were involved in the design of online materials in which Geogebra applets are embedded. Peter was in touch with text book series authors who wanted to do this as well.

Training and Support

No specific courses or trainings were delivered for GGB in 2010. Rather, GGB was used in the frame of other courses and presentations for pre- and in-service teachers and educators.

Support was given to textbook authors who wanted to embed GGB applets in their online resources.

Development and Sharing

An important development was the embedding of GGB applets into online applications within the FI's Digital Mathematics Environment (DME). See http://www.fi.uu.nl/dwo/en/ .

Research and Collaboration

A project called dpict was started. This is a research project which aims at teachers' professional development concerning the integration of technology. GGB will play an important role in it. See http://www.fi.uu.nl/dpict.
