This page lists brief tips how to do common, sometimes tricky, tasks in GeoGebra.

They are intended to fill the gap between the introductory materials and the user manual. This makes them a good starting point for users who learned the basics and who want to further explore GeoGebra. All tips are displayed in the "Did you know?" section of the main page at random.

How to Write Tips

To write a new tip just create a new wiki page with "Tips:" as a prefix, e.g. "Tips:Restricted Functions" (but that one already exists: Tips:Restricted Functions) and add your tip as a content. That's it! :-)

Guidelines

Following these rules while writing your tip will ensure that everyone's happy:

 1. Be brief!
 2. Be as concrete as possible: Use concrete numbers, functions, etc. in your examples, not variables or placeholders.
 3. Don't explain the syntax of a command, add links to the manual instead (as done here for example)
 4. Emphasize GeoGebra commands by surrounding them with
and
