Dear friends,

we would like to ask you for your help with GeoGebra's manual and website translation.

Manual translation

The languages, for which I had recent translation of wiki.properties, have already their wikis running:

Before you start translation, please look at some pages about commands and tools and check that their titles are OK. Instructions for the translation are written here: http://wiki.geogebra.org/en/GeoGebraWiki:Translation It is better to do this translation with a bigger team of people.

In case your wiki is not among those listed above, please send the translation of the most recent wiki.properties to translation@geogebra.org.

In wiki.properties there are three new keys (since today): Publications, ExportAsWebpage, GeoGebra. For languages that have their wikis running these keys were either translated via Google or left in English. Please send us better translation if needed, we will take care of moving the articles.

Moving to the new wiki

The old wiki is becoming obsolete and will be read-only soon. Materials from there won'tbe deleted -- some will be moved to the new wiki. If you want to move some pages from old wiki in the new one, you may turn them into tutorials or tips, but in some cases it will be more suitable to move them to GeoGebra as material collections (or material pages). This is up to you, but feel free to ask for advice.

Website translation

In the usual ZIP file from http://www.geogebra.org/source/translation/gui/ you will find one more properties file: navigation.properties. It only contains 8 keys and is used for the top level menu of geogebra.org and geogebra.org. Please translate this file using Attesoro and send it to translation@geogebra.org. To translate the rest of the page please use your Joomla login to http://www.geogebra.org/cms/administrator/ and follow the instructions for Joomfish: http://wiki.geogebra.org/en/Translation_Website If you don't have an account in Joomla or you don't remember the password, please let us know. If you are unable to translate something because it is locked, also let us know -- the only parts that should not be translated have DO NOT TRANSLATE in their name.

GUI Translation

There are still some mistakes that were caught by our script -- please check http://wiki.geogebra.org/en/Translation_errors and fix errors in your language.

GeoGebra translation

New keys in tube.properties: like, likes, dislike, dislikes, sort_rating, applet_size_warning Changed keys in tube.properties: error_search_types is now "Please select at least one material type for your search."

Thanks for all your work,

Zbynek, Florian & the rest of GeoGebra Team
