- LeftSide[ <Equation> ]
- Returns the left-hand side of the equation.
**Example:**`LeftSide[x + 2 = 3x + 1]`

yields*x + 2*.

- LeftSide[ { <List of Equations> } ]
- Returns the list of the left-hand sides of the equations.
**Example:**`LeftSide[{a^2 + b^2 = c^2, x + 2 = 3x + 1}]`

yields*{a*.^{2}+ b^{2}, x + 2}
