We will also stimulate the culture of sharing in the Czech Republic.

The Prague GeoGebra Institute will take advantage of the collaboration of the most prestigious Czech Universities: Charles University in Prague and Czech Technical University in Prague. Activities of the Institute will be in accordance with activities and research targets of Department of Mathematical Education on the field of mathematics education and its technological support. Colleagues at Czech Technical University will collaborate on developing materials for lectures on Geometry and Mathematics at CTU and do GeoGebra worksheets focused on applied mathematics.

Aims

Training and Support

The GeoGebra Institute of Prague will support the use of GeoGebra in pre-service teacher training programs and provide GeoGebra workshops and seminars to mathematics teachers through the well established system of in-service teacher training program at the Faculty of Education, Charles University in Prague.

Development and Sharing

The GeoGebra Institute of Prague will be involved in translating materials and GeoGebra pages in accordance with the activities of the others Czech Institutes. We will develop the Czech web interface for providing tests on GeoGebra focused on secondary school curriculum and produce database of geometric tasks for college teachers. We will also stimulate the culture of sharing in the Czech Republic.

Research and Collaboration
