GeoGebra Website down 9th May

The GeoGebra website, forum and wiki will be down for scheduled maintainance on 9th May 2012 for 9 hours at these times

If you need urgent help during that time, please ask here: http://www.facebook.com/geogebra or send a tweet to @geogebra on twitter.

GeoGebra Webstart should be unaffected but as always emergency downloads are available from Google's servers: http://code.google.com/p/geogebra/downloads/list?can=3&q=4.0

GeoGebra Conferences

  • It would be great if you could join us in Seoul, especially if you are planning to attend ICME 2012. We organise a ICME Pre-conference in Seoul, Korea, just one day before ICME on Sunday, 8 July, 2012. If you plan to attend please register as early as possible, because we can accommodate maximum 100 people in the room.
  • Ten years of GeoGebra: Registration is open for the GeoGebra Conference 2012 in Warsaw, Poland on 21-23, September, 2012. Join us to share your ideas with other members of the Community! The early registration deadline is 30 June 2012!
  • Are you ready? The 3rd Northamerica GeoGebra Conference is coming soon, on 25-28 July 2012 in Mexico. Do not forget that the deadline for proposals is 25 May, 2012.
  • We cannot miss Latin America from the list: Latin-American GeoGebra Conference Columbia 2012 which will be held on 2-4 Aug 2012 in Medellin, Columbia.

Development News

  • GeoGebra 4 (version 4.0.30.0) has been released with bugfixes and a new language (Armenian)

GeoGebra 4.2 News

  • The Python View will soon be removed from GeoGebra 4.2 beta, so you will need to use GeoGebra 5 Beta if you wish to continue using this
  • New Turtle object in Python
  • Alt-drag on a parabola to rescale it leaving the vertex unchanged
  • New commands: ShowGrid, ShowAxes, SetTrace
  • New JavaScript commands to allow drawing to an Image
  • Can now export PNG/SVG etc from the command line using --export and --dpi
  • The Input Bar will ignore accents when matching command names (eg. 'De' will match the command 'Dérivée' in French)
