- Variance[ <List of Numbers> ]
- Calculates the variance of list elements.
Example:
Variance[{1, 2, 3}]
yields 0.67.CAS Syntax
- Variance[ <List of Numbers> ]
- Calculates the variance of list elements. If the list contains undefined variables, it yields a formula for the variance.
Example:
Variance[{1, 2, a}]
yields \frac{2 a^{2} - 6 a + 6}{9}.
