Click on any free place in the Menu view graphics.svg Graphics View to create a slider for a number or an angle. The appearing dialog window allows you to specify the Name, Interval [min, max], and Increment of the number or angle, as well as the Alignment and Width of the slider (in pixels), and its Speed and Animation modality.

Note: In the Slider dialog window you can enter a degree symbol ° or pi (π) for the interval and increment by using the following keyboard shortcuts:
  • Alt-O for the degree symbol °
  • Alt-P for the pi symbol π

The position of a slider may be absolute in the Menu view graphics.svg Graphics View (this means that the slider is not affected by zooming, but always remains in the visible part of the Menu view graphics.svg Graphics View) or relative to the coordinate system (see Properties Dialog of the corresponding number or angle).

Fixed sliders

Like other objects, sliders can be fixed. To translate a fixed slider when Mode move.svgMove Tool is selected, you can drag it with your right mouse button. When Mode slider.svg Slider Tool is selected, you can use either left or right button. Sliders made with the Mode slider.svg Slider Tool are fixed by default (from GeoGebra 4.0). You can change value of fixed slider by simply clicking it. Preview of the new value appears next to your mouse pointer.

Note: See also the Slider command.
