The Pen Tool allows the user to add freehand notes and drawings to the Graphics View. This makes the Pen Tool particularly useful when using GeoGebra for presentations or with multimedia interactive whiteboards.
The default color of the pen is black, but you can change the pen properties (color, style, and thickness) using the Toggle Styling Bar, selecting the first little icon displayed on the Graphics View bar.
Selecting a different tool ends the freehand drawing process.
To erase a portion of your notes created in the Graphic View with the Pen Tool, press and hold the right mouse button while moving it on the notes you want to delete. Erasing is completed when you release the mouse button.
GeoGebra stores the notes you have traced in the Graphic View as a picture. Right clicking on the picture or on its name in the Algebra View opens a short Properties menu, which allows you to Show/hide the picture, set it as an Auxiliary object, Fix its position on screen, Rename it, and access to a more complete Properties dialog.
