ImplicitDerivative Command

- ImplicitDerivative[ <f(x, y)> ]
- Gives the implicit derivative of the given expression.
- Example:
ImplicitDerivative[x + 2 y]
yields -0.5.
CAS Syntax
- ImplicitDerivative[ <f(x, y)> ]
- Gives the implicit derivative of the given expression.
- Example:
ImplicitDerivative[x + 2 y]
yields -\frac{1}{2}.
- ImplicitDerivative[ <Expression>, <Dependent Variable>, <Independent Variable> ]
- Gives the implicit derivative of the given expression.
- Example:
ImplicitDerivative[x^2 + y^2, y, x]
yields -\frac{x}{y}.
