This command differs among variants of English:

- Center[ <Conic> ]
- Returns the center of a circle, ellipse, or hyperbola.
- Example:
Center[x^2 + 4 y^2 + 2x - 8y + 1 = 0]
(, :Centre[x^2 + 4 y^2 + 2x - 8y + 1 = 0]
)
returns point A = (-1, 1)

- Center[ <Quadric> ]
- Creates the center of a quadric (e.g. sphere, cone, etc.).
- Example:
Center[x^2 + (y-1)^2 + (z-2)^2 = 1]
yields (0, 1, 2)
