ggbtrans accounts

More than seventy translators have account in ggbtrans (https://dev.geogebra.org/ggbtrans/), which is really cool. Number of accounts for particular languages can be found at http://wiki.geogebra.org/en/Translation_Status . As the release date of GeoGebra 4.2 is getting closer (Autumn 2012), we would like to make sure that for each of our supported languages there is at least one (active) translator with ggbtrans account. If you are willing to work on GeoGebra 4.2 translation and don't have an account, please send an email to translation@geogebra.org to obtain login information. Such account is also needed for GeoGebra translation.

Changes in GeoGebra translation

March release of GeoGebra brings several new strings for translation. As usualy, these are marked by red border in the translation application and appear on the top. In this update also the syntax for placeholders was changed, so instead of "Welcome, %1$s!" we now have "Welcome, {$username}!", which is a easier to read. The new placeholders were already integrated into your translations.

In April more changes have been done to GeoGebra.

New wikis

There are two new wikis:

If you are interested in translating the wiki Manual into one of these languages, please create an account in the wiki and send your login to translation@geogebra.org so that we can make the manual accessible for you.

If you are interested in starting a wiki in your language, please make sure that all keys in ggbtrans in the "wiki" and "command" category are translated to your language and send an email to translation@geogebra.org once you think the translation is ready. Note that changes in ggbtrans are not applied to the wiki automatically.

System messages for the wiki

We changed the process of wiki registration to avoid spam: to create wiki account, one has to create forum account first. Description of the new registration procedure can be found in ggbtrans in the wiki category -- see keys got_account, no_login and no_forum_login. Please translate these keys so that we can put description of the new registration procedure into your wiki.

Thanks,

Arnaud, Florian, Mike and Zbynek
