People

The GeoGebra Institute of Slovakia continued in its activities within the leading group of Daniela Velichová, Michaela Regecová, Iveta Kohanová, Ján Gunčaga, Peter Csiba and Dagmar Szaková.

Training and Support

We have organized a training (led by D. Velichová) for small groups of teachers of geometry at the Mechanical Engineering Faculty at the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava, on April 30, 2010.

D. Szarková and D. Velichová organized The Second Slovak GeoGebra Workshop, meeting of the community of Slovak GeoGebra user, which was held on October 20, 2010 in Kočovce, Slovakia. We have invited Anders Sanne, the head of the GeoGebra Institute of Norway, to present here activities of the Norwegian GeoGebra institute and to establish possible further cooperation.

Development and Sharing

New materials developed in Slovak or English language are stored at the GeoGebra Institute of Slovakia webpage in section Materiály. These materials are shared by the community of teachers at all kinds of schools, from elementary schools to universities.

Research and Collaboration

D. Velichová participated at the International Colloquium on the Management of Educational Process, University of Defence, Brno 2010, ČR, where she presented talk "Creating Cognitive Connections in Maths with GeoGebra", and at the 15th SEFI Mathematics Working Group Conference on Mathematical education of engineers, Wismar University, Wismar 2010, Germany, where she presented talk "Creating Cognitive Connections in Maths", while both were published in the conference proceedings.

M. Regecová updated continuously GeoGebra Institute of Slovakia webpage.

J. Gunčaga developed with the community of his coworkers the Slovak GeoGebra Wiki forum.

I. Kohanová and P. Csiba continued in update of the translations of GeoGebra help manual and new releases.

At the Second Slovak GeoGebra Workshop on October 20, 2010 in Kočovce, Slovakia, several contributions from the members of the Slovak GeoGebra users community were presented about their experience with the usage of software GeoGebra. These materials were published in the Proceedings of the annual Symposium on Computer Geometry SCG´2010.
